BLACKHAWK UH-60 HELICOPTER

The BLACK HAWK multirole helicopter serves with  29 countries military and the armed forces worldwide as a tough, reliable utility helicopter.

This remarkable aircraft has fought its way in and out of countless combat zones to deliver and extract troops, save lives as a MEDEVAC or casualty evacuation platform, provide critical supplies to troops, deliver emergency supplies during natural disasters, and perform as an aerial firefighter and border patroller.

Now the modern variant of this utility aircraft is taking on a new mission set — as an Armed Helicopter to provide fire suppression when supporting ground troops, as well as armed escort. With digital avionics, powerful GE engines, high strength airframe structures and composite wide chord rotor blades, today’s BLACK HAWK platform has better survivability and situational awareness, and can fly higher and carry more than its predecessors ever did.
More than 4,000 BLACK HAWK aircraft of all types are in service worldwide today. The U.S. Army is the largest operator with 2,135 H-60 designated aircraft. The same aircraft sold internationally direct from Sikorsky acquires the S-70 designation.

GUARDIAN 400 SPECIAL MISSION AIRCRAFT

Guardian 400 Twin Otter is a special mission variant of the Series 400 Twin Otter aircraft designed and developed by Viking Air, an aircraft manufacturer based in Canada. Viking Air Limited revealed its Guardian 400 special mission aircraft at the 2019 Paris International Airshow, marking the launch of a World Demonstration Tour. Featuring a pixelated camouflage paint scheme, the Guardian 400 demonstrator aircraft features Airborne Technologies’ wing-mounted SCAR pods, LINX® flexible surveillance architecture solution that integrates all sensors and communications systems with intuitive user interface, and tactical workstation with with high-definition touchscreen monitors. The prototype is also equipped with Viking conformal bubble windows, left and right NATO standard wing-mounted hard points by IKHANA, Thunder Bay Aviation stretcher racks, and an aft lavatory for crew comfort.

Hensoldt has supplied the Argos EO/IR imaging turret with multi-spectral HDTV camera, mega-pixel HD Thermal imager, laser range finder, multi-mode auto tracker, and Remote Image Bus (RIB) video feed for display on the cockpit MFD and/or crew workstation. An Osprey Radar system, supplied by Leonardo, is a low size weight and power (SWaP) active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar surveillance system that features 120-degree forward swath and true multi-mission capability for high performance maritime and land surveillance. The Osprey system also provides high-resolution ground mapping, small and low speed ground target indication, and air-to-air surveillance, tracking and intercept capability. Sentient has supplied the Visual Detection and Ranging (ViDAR) Camera system complete with Kestrel moving target indication (MTI). The Kestrel MTI continuously detects moving objects while increasing the surveillance area by a factor of 20, thereby reducing operator fatigue and increasing reliable detection over long missions.

DIAMOND 62 SPECIAL MISSION AIRCRAFT

The DA62 MPP is the next largest Diamond Surveillance Aircraft, offering increased performance, space and capability. The fully composite DA62 MPP features the latest in tracking and sensor technology and sets the benchmark as the most cost-effective, powerful and versatile airborne platform in its class today. The DA42 and DA62 MPP aircraft offer class leading fuel efficiency and endurance; a combination that is not only highly capable but is also environmentally friendly at this critical time in our planet’s evolution. DEA has flown tens of thousands of hours of low-carbon aviation offering a reliable service delivering excellence as standard. The roomy fuselage provides an ergonomically optimized cabin for two pilots, operator station and plenty of cabin volume for mission equipment and gear.

The DA62 MPP has been specially designed for carrying multi-functional aerial sensors, like EO/IR cameras, land and sea radars, COMINT solutions, airborne laser scanners or large format digital aerial cameras, and more. The DA62 MSA is outfitted with a full Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) suite based on Leonardo’s ATOS (Airborne Tactical Observation and Surveillance) mission system and deliver a single, intuitive operational picture to the crew. Sensor options will also be offered for users who require additional capability, including Leonardo’s SAGE electronic support measures (ESM) system and Spider communications intelligence (COMINT) system. SAGE provides tactical threat awareness and strategic intelligence gathering in the radio-frequency (RF) environment, while Spider can detect, intercept, identify and geo-locate communications of interest.
